Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse codeword scheme resources

The Home Office launched a new ‘Abuse Codeword Scheme’ on 14 January. The scheme provides a simple and discreet way for people experiencing domestic abuse to signal that they need immediate help from the police or other support services, using a codeword in their local pharmacy. The Ask for ANI scheme allows those at risk or suffering from abuse to discreetly signal that they need help and access support.

The Home Office has published a range of social media materials to help you raise awareness locally. Please feel free to share these materials with local networks and organisations.
