Zoom Bible Studies
Zoom Bible Studies on Sundays at 5 pm, to be repeated on Wednesdays at 8 pm. The first will be held at 5 pm Sunday 10th January
The theme is A History of the Bible. You may have picked up some of the Radio 4 broadcasts this week, based on the book of that title by John Barton. They have been excellent and will, I think, provide a good opportunity for further questions and discussion. There are 5 extracts, each of 13 minutes or so, read by Hugh Bonneville:
Ancient Book, Modern World
The Gospel Truth?
In the Beginning ….
Who’s In and Who’s Out?
Nine Lessons and Carols
These readings are available on BBC iPlayer until about 29 January – but we have local copies to keep us going into February. Meanwhile we will send links out to you via Mailchimp week by week CLICK HERE here to be added to the mailchimp distribution list. Please listen to the reading in advance of the zoom session, and perhaps make notes of questions as you listen to it. Bring your questions and comments to the discussion. None of us are experts, but we can certainly learn a lot together.
