Children and Young People
The Church takes its obligations to protect Children and Vulnerable Adults very seriously and is fully committed to implement and comply with all the policies and procedures required by the Diocese.
To this end, we have appointed a Safeguarding Officer, Mrs Beverley Hollands (01892 864772) who should be contacted in the first instance by anyone who has concerns or needs to seek further clarification or advice on this important issue.
Thursdays 2.15 – 3.15 pm fortnightly in term time.
Little Fishes is a Parent and Toddler group held in church every fortnight during term time. It is an opportunity for parents to meet up and chat, whilst their children are in a safe and child-friendly environment.
Each session will include a Bible story, a song and prayer and an activity based on the story for the day.
If interested, please contact Shirley Boyce on 01892 864633.

Messy Church is a form of ‘church’ using creativity to explore the message of Jesus, and what it means to follow him. We had a very successful Messy Easter which attracted 80 adults and children. Messy Church happens once a term, and dates will be advertised here, via the pre-school and school, and Facebook.
Sunday School meets at 9.30 am in the school during the first part of the service and the children come into the church at the time of the Communion for a Blessing.
Sunday School is for school-age children and each week the focus is on learning the Gospel stories in a fun way appropriate to their age. Examples of their craft work are often displayed in the church.

St Thomas’ Youth Group (STYG)
St Thomas’ Youth Group is for any young people in the village in Years 7 and above at school, and meets usually once a month on a Saturday for games, activities, a chat and supper together!
Meeting socially together under the church umbrella allows the young people of the village, many who have gone to Primary school together, the opportunity to stay in touch as they go through their Secondary school years. In addition to social meetings, the Youth Group also offers opportunities for the young people to explore and grow their faith. In addition to the Youth Lent Course run in March 2019, a Youth Advent Course will run in November/December 2019.
With so much social pressure on teenagers today, Youth Group aims to offer a fun and safe friendship group. Members of Youth Group help with Sunday School and regularly take part in Church services, some are members of the Church choir.
Youth group is run by Roslyn Thomas and
