St Thomas The Apostle Annual Parochial Church Meeting

Sunday 8th May, following Sunday Service

Annual meetings (APCM) take place in parishes before 31 May each year. The annual meeting receives reports on changes to the electoral roll, general parish activities and financial matters. The annual meeting also elects new members to the PCC and to deanery synod every three years.

The annual meeting of parishioners is a meeting for all those on the church’s electoral roll and all those resident in the parish whose names are on the civil electoral roll of the parish.

Comfort in Lent

Comfort in Lent
As we reflect on the past two years under the influence of Covid, and the current devastation occurring in Ukraine, as Christians we now recognise the looming reality of the Crucifixion account.
Before we can celebrate with joy the reality of the Resurrection, we must acknowledge and focus on the events which preceded it.
It all seems so negative and destructive.
However this year during Lent we will meet for just four sessions which encourage us to focus on the ‘Comforts’ that we can receive from God.
Each session will focus on one of five topics which include the ‘Comforts’ from Music, Mothering, Resurrection, the Holy Spirit, and God’s Covenant of Love.
Sadly, we will only be able to cover four of the above topics.
At each session we will hear and then reflect on appropriate Bible passages which will powerfully bring to life the theme of the evening. And we shall sing and have time for prayer.
Do please join us in St Thomas’ Church at 6.15pm on
the Sunday evenings of 13th, 20th, 27th, March and 3rd April.
I feel sure you will find the ‘Comfort’.
